Hook types

01 · THE FRAMEWORK

Opens with a mild contrarian acknowledgment ('I know it's crazy') to pre-empt viewer resistance, then immediately broadens relevance by listing multiple niches so no one self-selects out. Middle delivers niche-specific listicle content (implied by 'pop up a few ideas'). Close uses an open-ended comment prompt as both CTA and engagement mechanic.

02 · THE CTA PATTERN

Drives comments by explicitly inviting viewers whose niche wasn't covered to self-identify , turns the content gap into an engagement trigger.

03 · TRANSLATE IT FOR TRADERS

- Open with 'I know it's [adjective]' to acknowledge viewer skepticism before it forms, then pivot immediately to value - List 4-6 niches by name in the first 10 seconds to signal broad relevance and prevent early drop-off - Frame a listicle as a service ('to make things easier for you') rather than a showcase to shift perceived intent toward utility - Use 'just let me know in the comments' as a structured comment prompt tied to a specific gap (missing niche), not a generic 'comment below' - Apply seasonal urgency ('it's time to start thinking about') as a soft deadline hook without using countdown language - Position yourself as the curator/filter ('I'm going to pop up a few ideas') rather than the expert, which lowers resistance and increases saves
