Hook types

01 · THE FRAMEWORK
Opens with a direct rhetorical question that calls out a common failure mode (passive posting). Middle pivots to a personality-authenticity argument before undercutting it with a 'but here's what's actually required' turn , creating a contrarian sandwich. Closes with a numbered technical checklist (value density in first 5 seconds, text hook, auto-captions) then ends with a binary shame-based challenge to filter for committed viewers.
02 · THE CTA PATTERN
Closes with a binary identity challenge ('Are you a bitch or not?') , functions as a commitment device rather than a follow/save ask, designed to trigger emotional self-identification and comment response.
03 · TRANSLATE IT FOR TRADERS
- Open the first sentence with a direct rhetorical question that names a behavior the target audience is already doing wrong (e.g., 'Do you realize you're posting every day and still not growing?')
- Use a contrarian sandwich: validate a common belief (personality matters) → immediately undercut it with a 'but that alone isn't enough' pivot → deliver the actual tactical list
- State the text hook rule explicitly in the video itself: keep on-screen text hook visible for the full duration of the clip, not just the first 2 seconds
- Pack a concrete deliverable or stat into the first 5 seconds , number, dollar figure, or named outcome , before any setup or context
- End with a binary identity question ('Are you X or not?') instead of a standard CTA to force emotional self-sorting and drive comments
- When listing tactics on camera, use numbered callouts ('Number one… Number two…') to signal structure and improve watch-through on talking-head formats
- Recommend a specific repetition volume ('do this 10 times a day') to make abstract advice feel like a concrete protocol, even if the number is rhetorical
