Cadence-as-hook framework: teaching delivery mechanics through live demonstration

01 · THE FRAMEWORK
Opens with a self-interrupting false start ('Can I make this video? No?') that immediately demonstrates the cadence concept before naming it , the medium IS the message. Middle layers the concept in threes: speed variation, restraint/slowdown, and strategic pause , each explained with a functional outcome (clarity, conviction, tension). Closes with a personal process reveal (reviewing takes for energy drops) that makes the abstract skill feel learnable, then plants a sequel hook ('I will make a video on tone next') to drive follows.
02 · THE CTA PATTERN
Implicit follow signal via explicit sequel promise ('I will make a video on tone next') , no direct follow/save ask, but the unfinished series creates a return-visit incentive.
03 · TRANSLATE IT FOR TRADERS
- Open with a broken or self-correcting sentence in the first 3 words to signal imperfection and create a pattern-interrupt before the real point lands
- Name the mechanism AFTER demonstrating it , let viewers feel the thing, then label it; this creates an 'aha' that feels earned
- Structure the core concept in exactly three functional sub-skills (e.g., speed up / slow down / pause) so the list feels complete without being exhaustive
- Attach each sub-skill to a concrete emotional or authority outcome ('pause → anticipation → tension') rather than describing the technique in isolation
- Reveal your personal review process (what you watch for on playback) to reframe a polished output as a learnable, iterative craft
- End with a named follow-up topic ('tone') as a low-friction follow-bait , more effective than 'follow me for more' because it promises a specific deliverable
- Frame the skill as a high-income lever ('one of the highest paying skills') early to justify why the viewer should care about a seemingly soft topic
